  • We work with all types of businesses, industries, people & environments. This is actually something we really love ~ getting to explore new people, new businesses, and new ways of doing things. As of 2024, we have worked with over 500 businesses in 40 diverse industries.

  • We operate on beautiful Vancouver Island and are located in British Columbia’s Capitol ~ Victoria.

What’s Good YYJ Small Business Feature

  • To get featured on our local Instagram page, please fill out our application form and one of our team members will get back to you to confirm approval and a plan of action. Our application outlines the process for getting featured and the requirements. Please take a look and If you have any remaining questions, feel free to email us at whatsgoodyyj@gmail.com

  • We primarily feature local businesses on Vancouver Island and the surrounding Gulf Islands.

  • Absolutely! If you are located on the mainland, we do feature weeks highlighting certain cities and take on rolling application until our trip is full. Please fill out the **feature application** just the same but please make sure to note your location! Any questions? Give us a shout at whatsgoodyyj@gmail.com

  • We currently work about three months out from the time you submit your application. If you have a special time-related request for when your post goes up, there is a section in our application to make note of that. We also have the option on our application to specifically post during your busy season. We do try to accommodate scheduling as best we can so that you can get the most out of your feature and will communicate with you beforehand to ensure you know your drop date.

  • We adore putting on collaborative photoshoots for businesses of all kinds! To stay the loop about upcoming collaborative opportunities, sign up for our newsletter here or submit a collaborative inquiry form.

  • Do you like doing your own photography but just need some help learning the ins-and-outs of getting gorgeous, quick shots?! Sign up for a consultation and we will schedule a personalized lesson for you!

  • It all depends on what you are hoping to capture! If you have an idea but are not sure how much time you will need, contact us or shoot us an email at whatsgoodyyj@gmail.com and we will provide you with some advice and suggestions to think about.

  • We do! We support brands in creating, strategizing, organizing and evolving so that their feel consistent, clear, and concise with the story they are trying to tell.

  • Yes! It is actually one of our favourite things to connect with other creative minds and to help them find pathways and solutions to their problems.   • Of course. We have worked with businesses who are just beginning their social media all the way to seasoned professionals. Media

  • - Yes! Please head over to our Community Calendar to sign your event up. This calendar is a local resource that hopes to put all event information in one easily, accessible space. If you are a non-profit or starting-up business with an event, please email us with the subject line “Calendar Question” to discuss alternative forms of payment.

  • We love seeing what’s new in town and being in the community! If you have an event coming up, a grand-opening, or other fun activity and would like us to come and do media coverage, please shoot an email with the details to whatsgoodyyj@gmail.com with the subject line labeled “Media Coverage.”
